Prototype: Class 56.2-8 freight steam locomotive of the German State Railway (DR) of the GDR. 
Converted Prussian G 8.1 with a leading axle. With State Railway lamps and bell. Coal tender type 
3T 
16.5. Road number 56 765. Operating condition circa 1966.

Model: With multi-protocol digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency 
propulsion with flywheel in the boiler. 4 axles driven. Traction tires. Locomotive and tender 
largely made of metal. Prepared for smoke generator 72270. Directional two-light headlights and 
smoke generator contact operate conventionally; digitally switchable. Lighting with warm white LEDs. 
Separately applied smoke deflectors. Fixed close coupling with kinematics between locomotive and 
tender. Close coupling with NEM coupler pockets at the rear of the tender and at the front of the 
locomotive. Many separately applied details such as pipes and sand pipes are included. Piston rod 
protection tubes, brake lines, screw coupling imitations, and a decal set for prototypical lettering 
of the wind deflectors are also included.
