BR605 kørte frem til 2016 ICE-tog mellem Berlin, Hamborg, Århus og København. Da de oprindeligt blev bygget til Tyske strækninger med mange kurver, fik de monteret krængningsteknik. Det viste sig at være mindre driftsstabilt end de havde regnet med, men efter at have været henstilt i nogle år, fik de nyt liv med at køre internationale tog mellem Danmark og Tyskland.
