Class 1016 electric locomotive of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).

The locomotives and carriages for the City Airport Train services operating between Vienna Central 
Station and Vienna Airport (Schwechat) feature a special design. Due to the introduction of European 
Train Control System (ETCS) at ÖBB, there was a shortage of appropriately equipped dual-frequency 
locomotives. Since the single-system version of the Taurus locomotive is sufficient for the CAT 
service, the Class 1116 locomotives were replaced by 1016 014 and 036 at the end of 2012.
