Due to the purchase of more units, locomotive-hauled passenger trains are becoming increasingly rare

Norway. These are the 22 locomotives in the EL 18 series purchased by NSB in the 1990s from 
the Swiss SLM, the German Adtranz and the Norwegian Strømmens Værksted. The English Go-Ahead has 
leased 
three locomotives of this type from Norske Tog for the "Sørtogets nattogen".
