Railroad.

The lack of power from the diesel-powered VT 11.5 (BR 601) led in 1971 to the conversion of four 
motor vehicles to gas turbine drive, the most striking feature now being the large air intakes in 
front of the driver's cab, which supplied the turbine with air.
Due to defects, the operation of these trains became increasingly uneconomical, which is why the 
multiple units that ran under the name BR 602 were decommissioned by the DB in 1978 and 1979. Only 
motor vehicle 602 003 has been preserved for museum purposes; You can find it today in the DB Museum 
in Nuremberg.
