Prototype: IC2 double-decker control car DBpbzfa 668.2, 2nd class, of Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) for 
long-distance service. Light gray long-distance livery with a traffic red decorative stripe, in the 
current IC design. Train route: IC 2045 from Cologne to Dresden Hbf. Car number 1. Operating 
condition 2020.

Model: Minimum radius for operation 360 mm. With low-level entry between the bogies. Standard 
features include built-in LED interior lighting on both levels and a current-conducting, separable 
close coupler on the side of the car without the driver's cab. Illuminated end-mounted destination 
display above the driver's cab, digitally switchable separately. Illuminated side-mounted 
destination displays. The interior lighting and side-mounted destination displays can be digitally 
switched on and off in conjunction with the other double-decker intermediate cars via a decoder in 
the control car. A defined vehicle sequence is required for this. Three-light headlights and two red 
taillights change with the direction of travel and can be switched digitally separately. High beams 
can also be switched digitally separately. The headlights, interior lighting, and destination 
displays operate conventionally. A standard coupler can be fitted by removing a cover on the cab end 
for coupling to a locomotive. Red transparent taillight inserts are located at the ends of the car 
without a cab. Prototypical Görlitz-type bogies.

Length over buffers: 29.2 cm.

The matching Class 146.5 electric locomotive is also available in the Märklin H0 range under item 
number 37449. It can be used to form a prototypical six-car train set with the double-decker coaches 
43486, 43487, 43488, 43489, and 43490. Traversing curved ramps may require modification of these 
ramps.

This model is available in a DC version in the Trix H0 range under article number 23255.
