Märklin 39029 Class 18.3 steam locomotive, DR, ep III

Model: Express train steam locomotive 18 314 with oil main firing and oil tender 2 ́2 ́T34 of the 
Deutsche Reichsbahn in the GDR (DR/DDR). Rebuilt version as an experimental locomotive by VES-M 
Halle (Saale). Version with Reko boiler and partial cowling, based on the steam locomotive 18 314 
(formerly Badische IVh). With Witte wind deflectors and single-sided Indusi. Operating condition 
around 1968.

Model: With mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-performance drive 
with flywheel in the boiler. 3 axles driven. Traction deck. Locomotive and tender were mainly made 
of metal. Built-in smoke insert as standard, with speed-dependent, dynamic smoke output. Three-light 
headlights that change depending on the direction of movement in conventional operation, digitally 
controllable. In addition, two red lights at the front of the locomotive can be controlled 
digitally. Driver's cab lighting and chassis lighting can be controlled separately digitally. 
Lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. With buffer tank. Tight coupling with 
kinematics between locomotive and tender. On the tender, kinematically controlled tight coupling 
with the NEM axle. Minimum driving radius 360 mm. For large radii or showcases, a fairing without 
wheel cutout under the driver's cab is included for replacement. Piston rod protection tube and 
brake hoses are also included. Length over buffer 27.2 cm.
