Märklin 88013 Express Steam Locomotive 01 218--6

Prototype: The locomotive 01 2118-6, alias 01 118, has a particularly unique history for steam 
locomotives. Since its commissioning on December 18, 1934, it has been in continuous operation, with 
the exception of all prescribed major maintenance intervals and the associated downtimes. In 1981, 
the machine was purchased by the Historische Eisenbahn Frankfurt e.V. (HEF) for "hard" Western 
currency and transferred to the "West". From then on, it was used as a museum locomotive throughout 
the country (from 1991 again throughout Germany) and thus became very well known. The locomotive 
even made a guest appearance at the CFL steam show in Luxembourg. The locomotive was renumbered 
several times by the club to recreate the different eras that this machine has experienced. On 
August 4, 2019, 01 2118-6 was moved to Battenberg (Eder) to the private museum of Dr. Martin 
Viessmann and parked there inaccessible to the public.

Model: First version of the BR 01 with new Wagner smoke deflectors. Equipped with a bell armature 
motor, finely detailed coupling, brake imitations and rail cleaners. True to the original without 
Indusi magnet. LED headlights at the front. Tender with spoked wheels. Length over buffers 112 mm.
