DSV was founded in 1976 by Leif Tullberg and nine independent shippers under the full name "DSV, De Sammensluttede Vognmænd af 13-7 1976 A/S" (Danish for "The Mergedler Men of the 13th Partly Catched Mansion of the 13th July 1976). The company has been listed since 1987 and currently employs around 75,000 people. With the acquisition of the Kuwaiti freight company Agility Logistics, it becomes the third largest freight company in the world. The Mercedes-Benz Bigspace is equipped with mirror cameras and has a volume cooler semi-trailer.
