Dinges Logistics celebrated a special anniversary at the end of August 2022: The 100th airbrushed Viking
lifted off! In addition to additional tank containers, container chassis and chemical tanks, around 20 new tractor units have been added since autumn
2021, including the 100th airbrushed Viking! Dinges Logistics
was founded in 2000 by Ingo Dinges. At that time, he worked as a self-employed commercial driver
and had a tractor trailer with which he dispatched his orders as a sole proprietorship. Due to
his family background, he has always had a passion for the Scandinavian peninsula and, as a result, for
Viking culture. For this reason, he had his first tractor equipped with a special airbrush design that reflected this passion - at the time he was completely unaware that he was almost creating his own brand (Herpa item number 121316). The first Viking that started it all is now in perfect condition in the company's "Oldtimer Museum" in Grünstadt. Ingo Dinges dedicated it to his father, who was also a professional driver and had a significant influence on his son in many ways. Starting with Viking No. 1, the Viking airbrush tradition on tractor units has continued throughout the company's history to the present day and has now become the company's trademark. The airbrush design on this tractor is well thought out. For example, important elements of the company were presented, such as the tank cleaning that opened in 2015 and the container terminal. In addition, a photo of the special Scania Hauber has been airbrushed onto Viking No. 100, and father Otto Dinges can also be found on it.
