The red railbuses appeared in the 1950s as the "savior of the sidings". The model of the FLEISCHMANN 
model is the VT 95 single-engine railbus with VB 142 sidecar, which is shorter than the motor car. 
The DB still uses a VT 95 with VB 142 sidecar as a museum car. Since the sidecar in the prototype 
was not equipped as a so-called control car with a locomotive cab, the railbus did not run as a 
permanently coupled push-pull train in 2-car operation, but always as a "motor car ahead". The motor 
vehicle therefore had to be moved to the destination 
station.
