Locomotive 01 150 was delivered in 1935 with the serial number 22698 at the Henschel & Sohn 
locomotive works in Kassel. It first proved its worth in the low mountain ranges of Hesse and 
Thuringia, from Bebra. It remained loyal to its Hessian homeland for thirty years. Darmstadt, Hanau, 
Frankfurt/M, Wiesbaden and Giessen were its stations, and the main lines on the Rhine and Lahn 
rivers, over the Spessart hills and the Wetterau region were its territory. It was retired in Hof in 
November 1973.
