Rating for ESU 51966 Drag shoe electronics for use with LokSound/LokPilot decoders V3.5 (or later) with 21MTC connector (not MKL).
The product is not yet rated
Many railcars are equipped with a grinder at both ends. For correct operation in blocked areas and for timely stopping at red signals, it is important that only one grinder is used to drive the decoder, depending on the direction of travel.
The grinder switch ensures this: it is hung between the pantograph and a LokPilot or LokSound decoder with a 21MTC interface. These generate a control signal that evaluates the grinder's switching electronics and switches to the "correct" grinder. It works perfectly in digital and analog mode.
The base of the board has the dimensions 43 mm x 24 mm.
Note:
The LokPilot Basic V1.0 and the MKL decoder are not suitable for the grinder's switching electronics.
